What should you expect from individual therapy?
While I am a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am also equipped to work with individuals. Currently I am seeing individuals ages 13+. I work with areas of trauma, depression, anxiety, life stressors, relationship issues, perinatal and postnatal anxiety and depression, parenting issues, body dysmorphia/eating disorders, OCD behaviors, and more.
In individual therapy, I primarily utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
With individuals, I do a lot of “story” work. I get to know you in the context of your story, learning about your family of origin and upbringing, who you are in the present, and your goals for the future. It would be an honor to co-author with you and to help you write the story you are longing for.

What should you expect from couples counseling?
Taking that first step to seek couples counseling can often feel very intimidating. I am here to help you feel less overwhelmed and more confident that things can get better.
I offer a variety of styles of couples therapy to fit your needs. Whether you are dating and facing challenges, seeking premarital counseling to set your relationship up for success, have been married for some time and navigating struggles, addressing hurts of a betrayal, having sexual dysfunction, or just need a relational tune-up, I am here to support and assist you wherever you may find your relationship.
I primarily utilize Attachment Theory, Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy when working with couples, while also incorporating some other modalities when appropriate.
Sex Therapy Certification:
When I began working with couples, I quickly learned that our brokenness and trauma follow us wherever we go- including into the bedroom. I encountered many with sexual shame, often provoked by beliefs stemming from faith and religious upbringings. Through learning about individual’s and couple’s sexual trauma, dysfunction, and shame, I decided to pursue this area in order to better help serve couples. I am pursuing certification in Sex Therapy through the American Board of Christian Sex Therapists (ABCST) through the Sexual Wholeness Institute. My desire is to help couples work through shame and brokenness, and begin to experience joy, desire, and the intimacy through sex that God intended when he created marriage.

What should you expect from family therapy?
It takes courage to address hurt and problems in relationships with family members, but I am here to help you navigate these challenges. I thrive while working with individuals in the context of their relationships.
I utilize various family modalities including Bowen Family Systems, Structural Family Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy.
Maybe you are a parent seeking to work on your relationship with your child, and are having difficulty addressing topics like technology, pornography, or the sex-talk with your child. Maybe you are an adult child hoping to work through issues with a parent, or siblings hoping to navigate relational challenges. When beginning family therapy, I will first assess who will be involved and how best to address issues based on your goals. Sometimes I meet with all members involved, and at times I break the group into dyads to address specific issues in that relationship. Whatever the case may be, I am eager to help you begin the process of restoration and reconciliation with your family.
